The Empaako Revival Program
In partnership with the Empaako Village a Living cultural museum dedicated to the preservation of the Empaako Naming tradition, this initiative focuses on reviving the Empaako naming tradition through community ceremonies, documentation, and public engagement. It helps reconnect individuals to their cultural roots while promoting respect and harmony.
Heritage Schools Project.
An educational initiative designed to integrate cultural knowledge into primary and secondary education. We partner with schools to teach traditional music, language, folklore, and history.
Intergenerational Storytelling Circles

Production of Two Empaako-Themed Songs
In our effort to make heritage resonate with the younger generation and preserve oral traditions, we successfully produced two original songs themed around the Empaako naming tradition.
These songs serve as powerful cultural tools that:
- Educate listeners on the meaning, significance, and values behind the Empaako system.
- Celebrate identity and unity, reflecting the deep emotional and spiritual connection of the community to this naming tradition.
- Bridge generations by fusing traditional rhythms with contemporary music styles, making the songs accessible and enjoyable for both elders and youth.
These musical productions have been used in cultural education sessions, school programs, and community events, and are available in both audio and video formats.
Traditional Empaako Naming Ceremony
We proudly organized and hosted a traditional Empaako naming ceremony at the Empaako Village — a landmark event that attracted participants from diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds.
Highlights of the ceremony included:
- Ritual performances led by cultural custodians and elders.
- Storytelling sessions on the origin, purpose, and values of the Empaako.
- Symbolic naming of individuals, including youth who received their Empaako names for the first time.
