DAY 01
Arrival in the Cradle Land: Awakening the Fire of Identity
At dawn the group departs Kampala for Fort Portal, is welcomed by local elders, and ends the day in Empaako Village with a traditional feast and fireside storytelling that deepens their connection to the land’s ancestral wisdom.
DAY 02
The Sacred Naming Rite
Dressed in ceremonial attire, participants undergo sacred Empaako naming rites led by elders and then celebrate their newly bestowed identities through guided reflection, music, drumming, and traditional dance.
DAY 03
Rooted in Origin: The Ancestral Tree and the Rwenzori Journey
The day opens with planting an ancestral tree at the Rwenzori foothills before the you journey through the myth-laden Mountains of the Moon, using the natural landscape as a space to contemplate and integrate their newly received Empaako identities..
DAY 04
A Passage Through Heritage and Wilderness
Travelers either embark on a sunrise game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park guided by rangers who interpret the region’s ecological and cultural heritage, or explore Semuliki’s crater lakes, hot springs, and the Tooro Kingdom Palace to learn about royal and clan traditions. The day ends with a reflection circle that ties these experiences to the core values of the Empaako system.
DAY 05
The Flavors and Heartbeat of Fort Portal
The day moves from an immersive local coffee experience to artisan markets and a guided tour of Fort Portal, ending with an evening reflection session to integrate the journey’s layered experiences
DAY 06
Departure and the Closing Circle
Journey back to Kampala for a final reflection circle before continuing to Entebbe Airport, departing with new names, lasting memories, and the teachings of the Empaako tradition.
